The Bespoke Process

Lets talk
(02)

The process begins with a conversation. Send me a little information about what you are looking for, along with any ideas, inspiration or particular materials you have in mind. Don’t worry if you don’t have a fully formed idea — we can develop it together.
I will get in touch with you personally to discuss your ideas, answer any questions and explore what might be possible. We can talk about the design, materials, budget and any important details or meaning you would like the piece to have.

Confirmation
(04)

Following our conversation, I will develop a proposal for your piece. Once the direction is established, I will confirm the design, materials, price and an estimated timescale for completion.
When you are happy to go ahead, your commission will be confirmed and I will arrange payment [or: a deposit] before work begins.
Making your piece

Completion

Your piece will then be made by hand in my studio. As each piece is individually created, there may be subtle variations and details that develop naturally through the making process. Where appropriate, I will keep you updated along the way.
Once your piece is finished, I will be in touch to arrange the final payment, if applicable, and delivery or collection.
Every bespoke piece is unique, so the process may vary slightly depending on the nature of the commission. I will always discuss this with you clearly before we begin.
